“THREE BOYS”
Painting For Art Gallery In respect to the purchase of Walker’s painting, “Three Boys," from Mrs. Murray Fuller’s exhibition, for the permanent collection at the National Art Gallery, an error was made as to the source of the money used in that connection. The £315 paid for the painting was part of a grant of £425 made to the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts by the T. G. Macarthy trustees at the last distribution. The proviso added was that two pictures were to be purchased, each to bear an inscription as to the donors.
