Charged with deserting the motor-ves-sel Rnngitata at Wellington on August. 27, Montague Wilfred Madden, a seaman, aged 21, was convicted and discharged and ordered to pay 10/- costa when lie appeared and pleader! guilty before Mr. W. F. Stilwell in the Magistrate's Court, Wellington, yesterday.
