Tallow, Hemp and Eggs
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated September 12. from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London : — Tallow: Market quiet. Moderate businew has been done iu mutton, fine, ou spot at slightly ’easier prices. Hemp: Manila—Market strong, witn improved demand ; prices have advanced. September-Noverplier shipment sold up to £26/10/-. Sisal—Market firm and steady. September-November shipment sold £27; December-March shipment, £27/5/-. New Zealand —Market quiet; nominally unchanged ; no first-hand sales reported. Eggs: Market firm, but trade slow on account of higher prices. English, national pack, 13/- to 18/6; ordinary pack, 15/- to 16/-. Danish, 10/7} to 13/3.
