Mr. Digby Smith and Civil Re-establishment League
At yesterday's meeting of headquarters of the Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment League the chairman, Major J. R. Kirk, offered the congratulations of members to Mr. H. Digb.v Smith on his recent appointment as Commissioner of Pensions. Mr. Digby Smith’s assistance and sympathy had been most, valuable. said Major Kirk, and headquarters greatly regretted the fact that ho would now require to resign. Mr. Digby Smith thanked members for their congratulations, and said it was with deep regret that he would retire from beadquarters of the league. Mr. Digby Smith's place on headquarters is to be tilled by Mr., B. F. Waters, Assistant Commissioner of Pensions,
