CANADA AND SOVIET
Restoration of Trade Relations (Received September 13, 7 p.m.) Montreal, September 11. The Prime Minister, the Rt.-Hon. W. L. Mackenzie King, to-day announced the restoration of friendly trade relations between Canada and Soviet Russia. The embargo effected by the Bennett Government in 1931 against Russian coal, wood pulp, lumber and other products has been lifted, while it is understood Moscow has lifted the coun-ter-embargo against Canadian pr>'ducts.
The Mini.stei of I'rade aud Com moree, Hon. W. D. Euler, who recently visited Russia, will soon outline Ute trade deal made with the Soviet.
