The King in the Air. — The King’s de Havilland Dragon Rapide aeroplane in flight between Wittering and Northolt aerodromes early this month, when His Majesty flew to Northolt to inspect the Royal Air Force. It was the first occasion on which a British Monarch has inspected the Air Force while in the air. At lower right His Majesty is seen at Northolt watching the evolutions of the squadrons, which performed a spectacular flight in formation past the saluting base. The King will fly from England to Malta to join the chartered yacht Nahlin for his vacation cruise in Dalmatian waters.
