SPECIAL SCHOOLS SERVICE
Big Congregation at St. John’s Church Boys of Scots College and girls of Queen Margaret's attended a special service yesterday evening at St. John’s Presbyterian Church. The whole body of the church was packed with the scholars of the two schools, and parents and friends, in addition to the usual evening service congregation, completely filled the available seating accommodation. The service, which was broadcast, was conducted by the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, who preached a simple, direct seriuon well suited to his youthful audience. As his inspiration he took the text “Bringing into captivity one’s every thought co the obedience of' Christ.” The principal of Scot's College, Mr. J. R. Sutcliffe, B.Sc., and the principal of Queen Margaret’s, Miss Irene Wilson, M.A., read the lessons. Prayers were led by the Rev. P. J. Wainwright, chaplain of Scots College. The choir sang the anthem, "O Lord God, to Thee,” by Arcadelt, Mr. W. Lawrence Haggitt, L.A.8., F.T.C.L., playing the organ.
