HOMING PIGEONS

Wellington Society’s Show The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society concluded its weekly show season on Saturday night with a championship show. Only pigeons who had gained a ticket in a show during the season were eligible, and a class was provided for cocks and ono for bone. Both classes wore judged by Mr. H. Clark, a very efficient judge, and the best pigeon of tlie two classes was adjudged champion of champions. This honour fell to A. Clement’s fine chequer hen, which has been a winner many times in other shows. A special trophy of .£l/1/-. donated by Mr. If. Flipp, for champion of champions, and a silver cup donated by Mrs. B. Henderson for champion hen, were secured by this hen. The champion cock was owned by N. Boyd and Son, who receive a silver cup donated by Mr. F. Couper. This season's shows have been very successful in every way. and have provided good entertainment for members during the off season.
