Conservatives Hold Seat

Cautley, who had been Conservative member since 1910, was:— Lieutenant-Colonel R. Stephenson Clarke (Conservative) 22.207 Mr. A. E. Millett (Labour) .. 5,708 Thirty decimal five per cent, of the electorate of 91,305 went to the poll. The result of the East Grinstead poll nt the last general election was: Sir H. S. Cautley (Conservative), 29,440; Mr. S. Seuffert (Socialist), 8097.
