Bills to be Considered This Week LABOUR CAUCUS TO-DAY A caucus of the Government party is to be held this morning to consider legislation scheduled for early introduction in the House of Representatives. Several new Bills will be discussed. and it is likely that consideration will bo given to general outlines of Budget policy. In an interview on Saturday evening, the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. M. .1. Savage, stated that the first measure to be discussed would be one restoring the civil rights of public servants. This would include the right to contest Parliamentary elections! after the necessary leave had been secured. A civil servant would only have to resign his position in the service if he won an election. “A Bill providing for amendments to the Workers’ Compensation Act will also come up lor consideration,” said the Prime Minister, as well as a Pensions Bill, and other matters iof current interest. The House of Representatives will be kept fully occupied during this week. When the House resumes to-morrow the second reading debate on the I'inance Bill will be continued, and the discussion on this Bill is likely to occupy at least two days of the week. As soon as that measure has been passed, the Prime Minister intends to begin the second reading of the Prevention of Profiteering Bill, which was introduced just before the House fose for the week-end adjournment.
