THE JUNIOR DOMINION

letters from these people were received on Thursday and will be answered in next week’s mailbag: Delia Hanly, Otaki; Tainui, Karori; Silk Sox, Wanganui; San Toy, Hastings; Margaret Ford, Nelson; Joy Hannah. Napier; Te Orah. Hastings; Christmas Lily, Alton; Poppy Dale, Alton. Remember mailbag: closes on Wednesdays, boys and girls.—KlWl.

Dear Girls and Boys,— So many entries for animal page that I nearly became a new kind of Ohl Mother Hubbard, with “so many entries she didn’t know what to do!" And so that means we will have to squeeze in another page next week, and before very long there will be a specially big “Pets’ Corner,” so if your paragraphs telling of pets are not in the special animal pages, watch out for them then. it was such fun reading of your pets, and the animals you imagined, and so many members sent in photos, too, that perhaps when we have the pets’ corner some of them will be able to be included, though the main fault with them nearly all was that they were not clear enough. There seemed to be so little room for birds in animal page that I think they will have to be included in tree page, too. After all, the trees are the homes of the birds, and one without the other would seem very strange, so we must not forget them. Tree page, which will be Abor Day’s page, will be on August 8. IV e will not make it a very special page with a tree heading . . . but just remember that week to think of trees and talk of them in your letters and verses, perhaps. If you could tell of a tree you had planted that would be all the better. The trees will be our guests for a day. —KIWI.
