AMNESTY FOR 10,000 PERSONS
Austrian Announcement ABOUT TWO-THIRDS OF NUMBER NAZIS By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received July 23, 7.45 p.m.) Vienna. July 23. An amnesty anuounced last night will benefit 10,000 persons either imprisoned or awaiting trial, of whom about two-thirds are Nazis and the remainder Socialists. A number will be released to-day.
Only 210 Nazis and 11 Socialists condemned for murder and other serious crimes will remain in jail when the amnesty is fully carried out.
