“LOVER’S LEAP”

This year has undoubtedly been the most successful that the Thespians have yet enjoyed—their productions, “Clay,” “The Sport of Kings,” and J. B. Priestley’s “Laburnum Grove” —, have all been enthusiastically received, and critics and public alike have agreed upon their excellence. Theatregoers are now looking forward to the society’s next production, which is to be presented in the Town Hall Concert Chamber early next month. The play selected is Philip Johnson’s brilliant

comedy “Lover’s Leap” (“the greatest comedy since Noel Coward’s ‘Private Lives’ ”) and no effort has been spared in casting, production and scenery, to make this the finest of all Thespian productions to date. Those who have seen early rehearsals are convinced that the play will be more than usually successful to its predecessors. In the cast include T. V. Anson, Sinclair Breen, Marjorie Murray, and Myles F. E. Wright. The play is being produced by Victor S. Lloyd, assisted by Winnie Cooley, the stage manager is Evan Harrowell, and the property mistresses Isabel Burton and Peggy Lucas.
