Surrey at Auckland

The Federal Company has received a further wireless message from, tlie Surrey, en route from Glasgow and Liverpool, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland at 9 a.m. to-day. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Oamaru and is due here about July 31.

TAIROA’S DEPARTURE. The Shaw, Savill steamer Tairoa arrived in the stream at Wellington last night from Gisborne .will berth this morning at the Glasgow Wharf to complete her Homeward loading. She is now scheduled to clear this port finally at 5 p.m. next Monday for London, via Cape Horn and Montevideo. THE WANGANELLA. The Huddart, Parker motor-liner Wanganella is to leave Sydney next Monday for Wellington. She is due here on July 31 and will leave again the following day for Sydney and Melbourne. WAITAKI DELAYED. Delayed by rain at Dunedin the Union Company’s Waitaki is now to leave there to-day for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete discharge of her . Melbourne cargo. She Is due here on Sunday and will leave again the following day for Melbourne. via Bluff. RARANGA LEAVES GLADSTONE. Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw. Savill Company that the Raranga left Gladstone on Wednesday for Timaru, where she is now due next Tuesday afternoon to commence her Homeward loading. THE PORT WHANGAREI. Under charter to the Union Company, the motor-ship Port Whangarei is to leave Nukualofa to-day with fruit for Auckland, where she is due next Tuesday. PAKURA MISSES TRIP. Owing to delays by bad weather the Richardson motor-ship Pakura will not leave Wellington to-morrow on her weekly trip to Napier and Gisborne. She is due at Wellington about Sunday from Napier, and proceeds frbm here "to Lyttelton. The Pakura is due back at Wellington next Thursday, and will leave on Saturday, August I.'for Napier and Gisborne. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. A. H. Gelhhas joined the Niagara as senior third officer, relieving Mr. D. H. Richards. Mr. L. G. Harris has joined the Mannganui as fourth officer, relieving Mr. G. E. Hunt, who has transferred to the Gabriella as third officer, vice Mr. E. S. Ross, who has joined the Kaiwarra in that capacity. AKAROA LOADING. The Shaw, Savill liner Akaroa is due at Auckland to-day from Wellington to complete discharge of her London cargo and to commence her Homeward loading. She will leave there again next Tuesday for Port Chalmers. Lyttelton. Wellington and Auckland to fill up. She is due here on August 6 and will clear Auckland finally on August 15 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. TANKER THORHILD. The Union Company’s chartered tanker Thorhild is to leave Wellington at 7 a.m. to-day for Tandjong Oeban. Sumatra, to load a further cargo of fuel-oil for Wellington. AORANGI LEAVES HONOLULU. The C.-A. motor-liner Aorangi, en route from Vancouver, cleared Honolulu on Wednesday for Suva. Auckland and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on August 2. THE MONTEREY. The Matson liner Monterey, from Melbourne and Sydney, is due at Auckland to-morrow morning. She will leave there again later the same day for Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu, Los Angeles and San Francisco. THE LINDENBANK. Advice has been received that the Llndeubank, from Gulf of Mexico ports, is now due at Auckland about August 1. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton and Dunedin. G. H. Scales, Ltd-, are the local agents.

MARIPOSA CLEARS LOS-ANGELES. The Matson liner Mariposa left San Francisco on Tuesday and Los Angeles on Wednesday for Honolulu, Pago Pago, Suva, Auckland., Sydney and Melbourne. She la due at Auckland on August 7. SCHOONER HUIA. The Nobel auxiliary schooner Hula left Wellington early yesterday morning for Dunedin, where she is due to-morrow. From there she will proceed to Westport and Greyiuouth to load for Melbourne. CITY OF DIEPPE CLEARS BALBOA. The A. & A. Line chartered steamer City of Dieppe, en route from New i'ork to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia, is reported to have cleared Balboa last Saturday. She is due at Auck. land about August 7. KAMO MARU IN COLLISION. Burns, Philp and Co., Ltd., have received advice that the N.Y.K. Line steamer Kamo Maru, which was scheduled to leave Nagasaki ou July 20 for Sydney, has been involved in a collision and Is being replaced by the Kitano Maru. which will sail from Nagasaki on July 28, being due in Sydney on August 22. ALFIE CAM AND HIMATANGI. The Australian trawler Alfie Cam left Wellington at 11-15 a.m. yesterday for Syd. ney, with the Himatangi in tow. The two vessels passed out of sight beyond Sinclair Head about 4 p.m. The long tow to Sydney will take about, 14 days. GERMAN STEAMER DESSAU. Advice has been received that the German steamer Dessau, running under the auspices of the Gulf (Mexican) Australian Service, Is scheduled to load at Galveston on August 26. at Port Arthur on August 30. and at New Orleans on September 3 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wanganui. She is due at Auckland about October 7.
