Dominion Builders’ Supplies The annual report of the directors of Dominion Builders’ Supplies Ltd., Christchurch, states that the net profit for the year was £7OO/15/11, whith was not sufficient for payment of a dividend. The directors recommend that it should be carried to appropriation account, and that £440/12/5 be transferred to reserve for doubtful debts, bringing that reserve up to £2OOO, and leaving a net balance carried forward in the appropriation account of £1337/3/10. Mount Lyell Production The Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Co., Ltd. (Tasmania), reports the following production for the quarter ended June 30, with figures for the previous quarter ended March 31 in parentheses: Ore treated by mill, 167,334 (163.517) Ions; concentrates produced, 12,411 (11,956 tons; total ofc smelted, 13,933 (12,352) tons, containing 3043 (2731) tons of copper, 23,842 (22,051) ounces of silver, and 1647 (1562) ounces of gold. •
