IRON AND STEEL INDUSTRY
Coming British Inquiry (British Official Wireless.) (Received July 22, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, July 21. The terms of reference of the inquiry into the iron and steel industry to be carried out by the Import Duties Advisory Committee are given in a letter published to-night, from the President of the Board of Trade to Sir George May. The committee is to examine the present position of the iron and steel industry in the light of all data now available and, insofar as is practicable, to report with due regard to national Interest on the general lines of its future development.
