XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at ■L'* a Special Meeting of the Featherston County Council, held on the 27th day of May, 1936. a Resolution by way of a Special Order was passed pursuant to Section 5 of the Water Supply Amendment Act, 1913, the object and purport of which was as follows: — 1. TO APPOINT Six Ratepayers of the above District to have all of the powers of management of the Featherston County Council in respect of the Water Races in the said District. The Ratepayers appointed are:— D. H. S. RIDDIFORD ARCHIBALD CLARK R. FOSS C. G. BURT G. GAIN W. WILLIS. The Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be held on the 10th day of July. 1936, at 10.30 a.m., at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough. A copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited at the Office of the Council, Kitchener Street. Martinborough, and is open to the inspection of the Public during office hours without fee, for 21 days immediately preceding the confirming meeting. H. HAIiDINGE. County Clerk. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDERMOROA WATER RACE DISTRICT. ■VOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Featherston County Council, held on the 27th day of May, 1936, a Resolution was passed by way of Special Order that the said Conn cil make a By-law under and by virtue of the Counties Act, 1920, and “The Water Supply Act;” 1908, and all other Acts and powers enabling it. 1. THE TITLE of the By-law is “The Moroa Water Race By-law, 1936.” 2. THE OBJECT AND PURPORT of the By-law is to prevent obstructions to Water Races in the Moroa Water Race District and: (a) TO PROVIDE for the repairing, cleaning and maintaining of Water Races in the Moroa Water Race District and the clearing of the banks thereof by the occupiers of land on. or near to which such Races are situate if and when required by the Council. (b) TO PROVIDE for the repairing, cleaning and maintaining of Mater Races on roads in the said District and of the banks of such water races by the occupiers of land abutting on such roads if and when rgauired by the Council. (c) TO FIX penalties for breaches of the By-law. (d) TO REPEAL “The Moroa Water Race By-law No. 1, 1924.” THE SAID RESOLUTION will be submitted for confirmation at the (Ordinary or Special) Meeting of the Council to be held on the 10th day of July 1936, at 10.30 a.m. at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough, at which meeting the day of the coming into force of the By-law will be fixed. A full copy of the By-law and the proposed Special Order is deposited at the Offices of the Council, Kitchener Street.
