Many Liners Moving To-day

The Wellington Harbour Board pilots and their staff, the Customs and pert health authorities, arid indeed all those connected with the Wellington waterfront, will have an exceptionally busy time to-day. Six overseas vessels are due in port, four of them being direct from overseas, and three will leave for overseas.

The Port Dunedin from London, Makura from San Francisco, Monoiyai from Sydney, Kaikorai from Newcastle, Huntingdon from Liverpool via Auckland and Antiope from Bunbury via Auckland are all due. The Tekoa is to leave for London and West. Coast United Kingdom ports, the Canadian Britisher for Sydney and the Kaiwarra for Newcastle. x Other overseas vessels in port are the motor-liner Empire Star loading for London, the Abel Tasman discharging cargo from New South Wales ports and the Omana discharging South Australian cargo, making a total of 12 overseas vessels working the port today.
