RETURNED SOLDIERS’ DANCE
As a conclusion to the Anzac Stamp Campaign, a dance was held in the R.S.A. rooms, Lower Hutt, on Saturday evening. During the evening the president, Mr. B. Pattinson. -warmly thanked the committee for their activities of the past six weeks in connection with the campaign, and said that the results quite came up to expectations. A home-made supper was served, and a very sociable time spent. Mr. C. Hislop was M.C., and Assheton Harbord’s orchestra provided the music. Among the dancers were Colonel Butcher, Mrs. Burgess, black velvet; Mr. and Mrs. Milne, black georgette; Miss D. Milne, white crepe; Mrs. J. W. Andrews, brown marocain; Mr. nnd Mrs. Shaw, figured georgette; Mr. and Mrs. J. Milson, figured georgette; Miss V. Burns, check taffetas; Miss N. Shaw, figured georgette; Miss B. Jones, check taffetas; Miss J. Butcher, white mntalassc: Miss M. Barton, black velvet; Mr. and Mrs. Ashton, black crepe; Mr. and Mrs. Hislop, black lace; Mr. and Mrs. Hedge, blue georgette; Mr. nnd Mrs. Thompson, black lace; Mr. and Mrs. Robbins, green lace; Messrs. T. Thompson, B. Simpson, D. Somerville, D. Jones, Miss M. Barton, black velvet ; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Pattinson, figured marocain ; Mr. E. N. Woodley, Mr. N. Aldershaw, Mr. Berry, Miss N. Wilson, black satin; Mr. M. Furlong.
