STATE AID SOUGHT FOR BUSH FIRE VICTIMS

Dunedin, June 20.
Catlins settlers approached the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. W. Lee Martin, seeking State aid for those who suffered in the bush fires last October. It was stated that about £5OOO would meet the situation. The Minister promised to take the matter up urgently with the Minister of Finance.
