FUNERAL SERVICE

Late Mr. P. S. K. Macassey

Although the funeral of the late Mr. P. S. K. Macassey, Crpwn solicitor at AA 7 ellington. was announced as private there was a large and representative gathering of his friends at the-funeral service, which was held in St. Peter’s Church, yesterday afternoon. Archdeacon AV. Bullock conducted the service

The chief mourners were the widow and daughter, Mr. J. E. Macassey (brother), Mr. T. A. Fraser (brother-in-law) and Mrs. Fraser. The pallbearers were Messrs. C. Evans-Scott (assistant Crown Prosecutor), P. 11. Stansell, Sub-Inspector J. Carroll, of the New Zealand Police, and Detectives IV. McLennan, R. Long and N. McPhee, of the detective branch. Apai’t from the pall-bearers there was a large representation of the police and detective branches of the Justice Department. Among those present were:—Messrs. N. AA’. Nelson, J.
