RELIGIOUS SERVICES. J 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET. THE TENTH LECTURE of the series under the title of “FUNDAMENTAL BIBLE DOCTRINES” will be delivered (God willing) in the above hall on SUNDAY, AT 7 P.M., when attention will be directed to light from the Bible concerning “THE SABBATH” ’ BIBLE TEACHING IS—(1) THAT the command, “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy,” has at no time been given to the whole of mankind, but to one nation only, i.e., to Israel, the chosen nation, forming part of their Law known as “The Law of Moses.” (Ex. 20:8, Deut. 4:8, Nell. 9:13-14. Nell. 13:1522, Esther 3:8, Eze. 20:1-13, Psa. 147:19-20, Lam. 1:7). (2) THAT Christ was “THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS” (Roms. 10:4), “nailing it to His cross” (Cols. 2:14). See also 2 Cor. 3:6-14, Gals. 2:16, Gals. 3:19-26, Gals. 5:1, Eph. 2:15, Acts 15:24). (3) THAT now God’s people (followers of Christi, must obey not the Law of Moses (the Old Covenant) but The Law of Christ (the New Covenant), for “Ye are My friends if ye 'do WHATSOEVER I COMMAND YOU.”—Jesus. (John 15:14, John 14:15, John 14:21-24, Luke 6:46, Hebs. 5:9, Hebs. 12:18-24). (4) THAT nowhere in-the Law of Christ is to be found the command, “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Hoiv,” but in contrast will be found “LET NO MAN JUDGE YOU . . . IN RESPECT ... OF THE SABBATH.” (Cols. Roms. 14:4-6, Acts 20:7). “IF WE WALK IN THE LIGHT . . . THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN.” (1 John 1:7, Psa. 119:130, 2 Tim. 3:15, Isa. 8:20, Isa. 6G:2, John 5:39). Questions invited. No collection. If unable to attend write “Bifcle Truth,” c/o above halUfor free literature.
