I bubble in the shallows, I ripple into peels I swirl about in curling; buys, beneath the willows cool, Past a dewy meadow, past a lofty tree. Onward, ever onward, in my journey to the sea. Now I've readied tlie city, deep and dark and grey, Moving very slowly, as I go my way. Under ninny bridges, far into the town. Onward, ever onward, always gilding down. Away and past tlie city, dashing fast alone. Rippling, tossing, dancing, as I sing my song. Happy, merry, Joyous, once again I'm free. My Journey now is over, at lust I’m at tlie sea. —Eunice, Wellington.
