“Seven Keys to Baldpate,” which opens this afternoon at the Palace Theatre, Petone, and screens to-night and Monday night, with Gene Raymond in the central role, is an exciting nnd thoroughly entertaining adaptation of lhe Earl Derr Biggers, novel. Raymond as a celebrated author of mystery stories selects deserted Baldpate Inn as a quiet place and_ locks himself in with what he believes is the only key in existence. But when six more keys click in Baldpate’s door, the old mansion becomes a place of excitement and all writing ends as Raymond is swept into hilarious adventure. Others in the cast arc Margaret Callahan, Erie Blore, Moroni r Oteen and Grant Mitchell.
