"Warm, glowing colours—full of vitality—are the new fashion,” oue man stated.
“Too cold,” was his curt dismissal of the platinum blonde. The correct colours for this year, he said, wore
“tobacco blonde or red hair.” Only those who had natural red hair should attempt that style. All the rest, should aim at the tobacco shade. He grew quite lyrical about it. “It is blonde hair that has trapped all the warmth and glow of the sun, all the gold of the beach and the gleam of firelight,” he added. A weak, red-tinted dye applied carefully to ordinary fair hair, one gathers would create the glowing effect. “Bit only if the hair is healthy,” the hairdresser added. “Ten minutes hard brushing night and morning are needed to keep hair sparkling and virile. Without that, no fashion looks really effective and especially the new glowing style.”
