Woolworths (New Zealand), Limited, are making a bonus issue of shares in the proportion of two new shares for every five shares held at June IS. At the wool sales 6608 bales were offered, of which 4038 bales were sold, also 4540 bales disposed of privately. There was a good demand from the Con■tinent and Yorkshire for all well-grown wools, but all other sorts were irregular. The average price realised for the first three days of the week was £l2/19/- a bale, and 9.7 d. a lb. Mount Morgan Production Mount Morgan, Limited, has forwarded to the Stock Exchange Association the following production report for the four weeks ended June 10:—Total production for period: Gold, 32500 z.; copper, 85 tons. Ore mined,, 22,932 tons: concentrates fronted, 23,540 tons, assaying 4.2ldwt. of gold and .43 per cent, of copper. Concentrates produced, 841 tons, estimated to produce 32500 z. of gold and 85 tons of copper. During this period i rain interfered with production, the open cut losing 62 hours, representing 11 P er cent, of the working time.
London Tallow Market The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office, under date June 17: —There have been no public sales of tallow. Nominal quotations; Good mutton, 25/- to 26/- per cwt.; good beef, 23/- to 23/6; good mixed, 22/6 to 23/-; gut, 17/- to 18/-.
