RETURNED SOLDIERS
Dominion Conference To Open To-day
About 100 delegates are expected to be present nt the annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, which will begin in Wellington this morning and will continue until to-morrow night or possibly Friday. A large amount of business of interest to returned soldiers will be considered by the conference, and remits from most of the branches will come up for consideration. The conference will be more representative than ever this year as small associations not usually represented will be Sending delegates. It is probable flint the re-establishment of unemployed ex-servicemen will be one of the most important matters for consideration. Re-establishment work was greatly increased by the years of depression. and. according to figures quoted by the Dominion president, the Hou. W. Perry. M.L.C., approximately 10.000 returned men are at present in the ranks of the unemployed.
