Gold Mining Returns
By Telegraph—Press Association. Greynioiith, June 13. Maori Gully return was 1-loz. 3dwt. for 134 hours’ work. Greynioiith, Juno 14. The Argo dredge returned 520 z. from 9000 yards in 90 hours. Golden Crown Mine The managing director of Golden Crown Gold Mining Company (N.L.), (Komatn), Mr. A. A. Adams, reports results of a crushing of one ton of selected ore from the rise above No. 4 level, as follows: —Saved by amalgamation., £94 15/-; assay value of tailings, £6/9/2; value of ore, £lOl/4/2 per ton. This return shows an extraction by amalgamation of 93.6 per cent. Mr. Adams states that this discovery at No. 4 level was made in July, 1935, and a one-ton parcel of ore was crushed at the Thames School of Mines, showing a nine of £3l/ln/4. This rise is now up a distance of 4 Ml, th’e ore Ims been changing for some time past, the silver sulphides have been cutting out, and the ore has been showing coarse heavy gold. There is now oO tons of general ore in the battery, and a start will be made to crush this ore in the next few tlays.
