SHOPS AND OFFICES
Legislation passed during the first part of the new- Parliament's initial session included the Shops and Offices Amendment Act, which was omitted from the list of measures published yesterday. This Act prescribes hours of work and minimum rates of pay for workers in shops and offices. It also fixes overtime rates for shop and office assistants.
