BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY ACTIVITIES
For the past’ week the Wellington Beautifying Society- has been preparing for its first planting day of the 1936 season. Men have been engaged in preparing for 500 trees to be planted in selected places along the Hutt Road. The first ceremony will take place on Wednesday next, when his Worship Ihc Mayor and tbc Mayoress will each plant a tree, to be followed by as many other members and friends as attend. An advertisement appearing in to-day's “Dominion” gives full particulars as to how to find the planting area, but further information may be obtained from the secretary, telephone 41-484. The annual meeting of the society will be held on Monday evening at 8 o’clock in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hull.
