TOWN BOARD
Meeting at Johnsonville
At the monthly meeting of the Johnsonville Town Board last night there were present Mr. G. H. Lawrence (chairman) and Commissioners H. D. Morgan, R. Grant, W. Richardson, A. Symonds, and A. Perytaan. It was decided again to make a donation of £27 to the Wellington Free Ambulance Association.
The works committee reported that with four members of the Maknra County Council, Commissioners Symonds and Peryman had made an inspection of Khandallah Road. It had been agreed that to do away with the recurring trouble due to stormwater, this should be diverted across the road near the top of the hill through about 50ft. of 12in. pipes. A recommendation from the committee was adopted that the Makara County Council be asked to contribute half the cost of the pipes, as it had been admitted that the cause of the trouble iu the past had been due to stormwater from the Makara properties and that by the diverbion of the water across the road all further trouble would cease.
