A GOOD YEAR
Wellington Bowling Club
The annual report of the Wellington Bowling Club reminds members that the fiftieth anniversary of the club will be reached on November 19, and invites them to assist with arranging suitable celebrations. As the Dominion tournament will also be held in Wellington during the coming season the club has decided to renovate Its premises, and a jubilee gift fund has been opened. Approximately £47 has been contributed, but more will be required to meet the expenditure during the season. “After the year’s working the club is in a most satisfactory condition/* continues the report. During the year twenty-seven new members, including elevon juniors, were enrolled, bringing the total membership to 185. Forty-four of these are social members. The club has asked members of the executive of the New Zealand Bowling Association to accept honorary membership during the coming season, when the association’s headquarters will be in Wellington.
