Arab newspapers throughout Palestine are suspending publication for three days, during which time tlie staffs intend to disseminate privately news which the Government ha.s refused to allow them to publish. The first British casualty in the riot is a policeman, Robert Bird, who was shot in the stomach at close range while patrolling in the old city.
