WRESTLING CONTEST
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannevirke, May 29. In a hurricane start “Rebel” Ruesell obtained a fall from “Lofty” Blomfield within a minute of the onening of their wrestling bout in the Town Hall before a packed house last night. Russell knocked Blomfield off his feet with a shoulder charge, hit him on the jaw with a fierce elbow jolt, smacked him hard in the face, and with three vicious dumps made Blomfield very groggy and gained a sensational fall. From then onward the struggle wa’s very dour and it was not till the end of the seventh round that Blomfield equalised with a hard dump after some effective jolting. There were no further falls.
