Farewell to Miss K. M. Harvey Miss K. M. Harvey, of the stuff of lhe Central Public Library, who will leave shortly for America to take up a course of study in junior library work, was met on 'Thursday night by I'eilow-membens of the stall', who took tlie opportunity of bidding her farewell. An attractive programme had been arranged, starting with competitions arranged by members of the staff; and a posy was presented to Miss Harvey and Miss M. E. Fisher. Miss Vivienne Tait gave two recitations, following which tlie chief librarian I Mr. J. Norrie) referred to Miss Harvey's work in tlie past and indicated tlie scope of her future activities. On behalf of the staff Im wished her all success. Other speakers during supper were Miss F. Zohrab, Miss A. Denton (head of (lie central lending department) and Mr. Stuart Perry (deputy-chief librarian). On behalf of the staff. Mr. Norrie presented Miss Harvey with a fountainpen and pencil, after which Miss Harvev suitably replied. Miss Harvey and Miss D. M. Neal, of the staff of the Canterbury Public I.ibrary, will leave on June 27.
