Repairs to Cook Strai Cables. The scow Kohi has loaded a quanity of new cable to replace ŵorn secions od the 30-years-old line across Coo Strait. The Cable ship Rcordr is at present laying twenty-nine miles, but it Will fall to the Kohi, when suitable conditions obtain, to lay the inshore portions where The Recorder cannot approach owing to her draught.
