Victoria League Young People’s Branch The play-reading circle of the Young People’s Branch of the Victoria League met with a most encouraging success when they presented their first playreading to a large and enthusiastic audience at the University Women's Club room last night. A. A. Milne's “To Have the Honour” was the play chosen, and those who read parts were: Misses Marguerite Thompson, Irene Spidy. Valmai Cramond, Tiora Meadows, Kathleen Pears, .Mrs. S. McKinlay, Messrs. C. Wottou, Selwyn Toogood, ’ Charles Acheson, Evan Harrowell and John Pike. Stage directions were read by Miss Ruth Skermau. At the conclusion of the reading supper was served, those in charge of the supper arrangements being Misses Mary Duigan and Vera Miller. The audience included the following: Mrs. Mathewson, Misses Margaret Monro, Pat Gledhili, Margaret and Elaine Briggs, N. Baillie, Sylvia Parr, Noeliiie Cramond, N. Dixon, I’. Fitzgerald, L, McKenzie, Nancy Weils, Margaret and Denise Gardiner. Joan Porter, Irene Morris. Evelyn Robins, Lorna Thomson, Z. Carthy and V. Allen.’
Paint marks should be -sponged as soon as possible witli spirits of lu;--pentine. Remember that turpentine i« highly inflammable.
A vegetable brush should be found in every kitchen. Ail kinds of vegetables are more easily cleaned with a brush than with tlie hand.
