A FTER attending a performance of the Warner Bros. Cosmopolitan production, “The Story of Louis Pasteur,” Lieutenant-Governor Herbert A. Bruce, Ontario, Canada, paid tribute to the film in a letter received lyThe letter reads ns follows: —“I can only write in superlative terms of the film. ‘Louis Pasteur.’ Humanity probably owes more to this great scientist than to any man who ever lived. Warner Bros, are to lie congratulated and thanked for the stirring, beautiful tribute they have paid to one who may be said to have founded and made possible all that we mean when we speak of medical science. As for Paul Muni, what greater praise can any actor receive than this which I shall tell you? Dr. W. I’. Caven, who sat beside me, was a student in Pasteur’s laboratory when Pasteur himself was there experimenting on rabies. He told me that he considered Paul Muni’s performance as an -absolutely life-like reproduction of Louis Pasteur as he remembered him. “Once again I thank you for the opportunity of seeing. I believe, what is the finest, film I have ever seen. Doctors everywhere must see it, and there is no layman but will be deeply moved by tiie spectacle of a valiant man battling against entrenched ignorance and overcoming it single-handed, that lie might bring to ail people relief from suffering and deliverance from disease.”
