Movements in Call Liabilities

NOTE ISSUE HIGHER The weekly (statement of assets and liabilities of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand ns at the close of business on Monday, May 25, is as follows LIABILITIES.

An increase of £30.646 in the note issue brings the total tip to £10,L>6,79.». The tradij,' banks’ reserve balances total £8.078.108, a decrease of £305.540. Other demand liabilities amount to £190.164, a decrease of £50.276. Other liabilities at £77.756 show a decrease of £2380. On the assets side, sterling exchange shows a decrease of £102499. the total amount, hold being £23,i 3 i . i.i.i. Gold is still unchanged at £2.501.<->•>. Subsidiary coin amounts to £200,873, an increase of £7l. Investments total £1.99.i.994, an increase of £103,737. Other assets have increased by £27,275 and now stand at £249.739. The statement balances nt £28.986,090 8/5, an increase of £28,584/11/11.
