4. Harold Thompson Before Court (Received May 28. 8.35 p.m.) Sydney. May 28. Harold York Thompson, who was one of two brothers who were missing for a short time after a launch trip on the Hawkcsbury River, and who was brought back from Adelaide, appeared in the City Court to-day charged with uttering a forged instrument under the Real Property Act with intent to defraud. He was remanded until June 11 Bail was allowed in the sum of £lOOO and he was ordered to report daily to the police. Detective-Sergeant Clifford gave evidence that the audit of the accounts was not completed, whereupon the police prosecutor told the court that Thompson had said that the amount involved was between £3OOO and £4OOO.
