Song Group’s Final Meeting ot Season There was another large attendance <>f meinliers at the recent meeting of the song group of the British MnsnSociety, held in Miss Lorna Black's studio. The programme was long and varied as the evening consisted of "Own Selections” and the items presented included examples of almost every type of song. Works of .Maurice Besley. Vaughan Williams, Puccini, Liza Lehmann. Granville Bantock. Handel. Coleridge Taylor. Lassen. Pearl Curran. Roy Agnew, Tschaikowsky, Brahms. V. Hemery. Schumann Martin Shaw. Wolf. Mcßurnley. Balik.'ircw, Moussotirgsky. Jones and Cooke, were sung, members taking part in the programme being. Mesdames R it. Pott-. Clarice Willis. P J. Town ley and Ransom Myers. Misses Grave Gaudily Veronica Bell, Janet Stirling Mavis Chamberlain. Attic Bennie. A. Davies. M. Hitehiiigs, Ella Fair, Christina Voting and K. Anderson, and Mr Arthur Harding. The standard of music enjoyed by this group could not be maintained without the assistance «f very competent accompanists and the thanks of all members are extended *o the artists who help in this way. Accompanists at this meeting were Mrs. K. O. Thomson. Misses M With ers. 11. Day. E. Christie and F. Hobbs. This was the last meeting of the group for the 1935-30 season, during which both attendances and the number of singing members have increased considerably.
