Wellington Market Steady
BUSINESS AGAIN BRISK
Business was slightly less active on the Wellington Stock Exchange, but a substantial turnover was again recorded, prices showing little variation on the firip rates ruling earlier in the week. Sales were well spread, and Australian issues again accounted for a large proportion ol the turnover. X.Z. Refrigerating. 10/- paid, were easier on sales at 9/2. ilsons Cement moved up to business at 46/3, a rise of Jd., and British Tobaccos were firm at 40/4 j. Banks were a dull market. Broken Hui Proprietary were wanted at 63/-. ex dividend of 1/3 a share. The following sales were recorded on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, the number of shares being shown in each case: —
