4 Seven Persons Killed ESCAPE FROM PHILIPPINE STATION By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received May 19, 7.35 p.m.) Manila, May 18. Six desperate lepers escaped from tlie Culioii Island leper station, killed seven persons, ami to-day were believed to be en route for Borneo. The lepers were armed and were under the leadership of one called Ab diillah. They killed four fishermen in order to obtain the tatters’ boat, and then, stopping at Abenbo Island, they killed three more persons and robb-d Chinese stores. Tlie lepers Mien pro eeeded to Bonobono, but tlie citizens drove them off. After this they seized another boat am] escaped to sea. The islanders were afraid to iny hands on tlie lepers for fear of contracting tlie disease. Constabulary are at present conducting a search in nearby islands.
