Mr. J. A. E. Timpson, a Trinity College undergraduate, recently won a wager by travelling on foot from Cambridge to London and back—a distance of 106 miles —in under 21 hours. He arrived back at Cambridge at three minutes past one, twenty-three hours after he left Trinity Gate, and as he touched the gate he was handed a. cheque—part of the wager.
