Plaintiff’s company therefore claimed £5O, that being the sum due under the scale of commission agreed upon. In the alternative plaintiff claimed £5O as being a reasonable remuneration for the transaction. In evidence Sidney Nicol said wood nau introduced him to defendant. Witness had made an offer which had been refused. He had then returned to Napier, where he was living, and had been advised by Wood that defendant had withdrawn the hotel from sale.
