XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the above-mentioned Board, to be holden in the ofiice of the Board in Market Street, Hastings, on Wednesday, June 3, 1936, at the hour ot 2 p.m., it is the intention of the Board to make and levy General Rates under the provisions of “The Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928’’ (Sections 65 and 66) and “The Rating Act, 1925” (Sections 51 to 59) on the basis of the number of head of stock ns follows: — (1) A sheep rate of one-tenth part of one penny per sheep or lamb depasturing in the Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board District on 30th November. 1935; (2) A cattle rate of five-tenths part o. one penny per head of cattle of all ages, depasturing in the Hawke's Bay Rabbit District on 30th November, 1935; SUBJECT to a minimum totaj rate in accordance with Section 65 sub-sec-tion (2) of “The Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928” of five shillings in the case of any ratepayer who has furnished a stock return and of ten shillings in the case of any ratepayer who has failed, on demand, to furnish a return and on whom a default assessment has been made in accordance with Section 41, sub-section (5) of “The Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1925.” The said Rates to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1936, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1937, and shall be payable on the Bth dav of June, 1936, in one payment, at the office of the Secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Rnbbit Board, situate in Market Street, Hastings. On and after the date of this notice the Stockowners’ Roll for the Hawkes Bay Rabbit District will be open for inspection at the said office between the hours of 10 a m. and 4 p.m. on all week days except Saturday, and between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon on each Saturday.
