Whirokino Road Deviation.— Work has commenced on the deviation which will eliminate the frequently-flooded Moutoa Swamp section of the Wellington-New Plymouth highway (shown left). Th is section will be cut out when the new road, which will run direct from Foxton, is completed. Kight: A Public Works Department gang starting work on the new road at Foxton.
