If was then decided on tlie motion of Air. Combs, seconded h.v Aiiss Al. E. .McGill, that the committee thus set up be given at least a year to investigate and to prepare tlie text-books for publication. Finally .Miss K. Turner seconded tlie following motion h.v Mr. Combs, which was also carried: “That Hie committee take into consideration (he preparation of text-books of arithmetic, Englisli language and spelling with a section for .Maori words, literature, geography and history for till classes from standard I to form 3: also that this be considered as a policy for the '.School Journal’ and school libraries."
