ENGAGEMENTS
SYMES—WHEELER. The engagement is announced of Nancy Gordon, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Wheeler. Easdale Streel. Wellington, to Ivo Alfred Hillis, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Symes, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui. A number of very enjoyable evenings have been spent recently at the A.M.T.C. rooms, Vivian Street, to entertain men from the many .ships lately in port. The band of the Tamaroa kindly .supplied the music for the dancing. and items were given by Mr. Kain (Maui I’omnre). Mrs. and Miss Tracy, Misses Meade, Conriek, Coker, Alley (3), Pearl Robinson and Master A. Cooper. Miss M. Delaney played for the community singing and extras. An excellent supper was supplied on all occasions by the ladies’ committee. DELIGHTFUL BABY’S KNITWEAR.
