.Money to burn was Hie enterprising discovery of a youngster in Palmerston North recently. This young fellow secured a purse containing £l2 in notes, and was well on the way toward consigning these contents to an open fireplace when" he was interrupted. A single pound note was destroyed, and at the last moment a five-pound note was rescued from the flames.
